MOSCOW (Agencies): Eight American fighter F-16 Fighting Falcon arrived at the base, “Graf Ignatievo” in Bulgaria for participation in the Thracian Star 21 exercises, according to Command US Air Force in Europe .
During the exercise, the United States and Bulgaria are reported to be practicing rapid deployment in remote areas.
The exercise is also aimed at “providing effective forces for stability in the region.”
“Participation in a multinational exercise such as Thracian Star 21 strengthens our professional relationship and generally contributes to better coordination with allies and partners in times of crisis,” the statement said.
F-16 Fighting Falcon fighters are permanently based at the Aviano base in Italy.
