The French taught Macron a lesson about Crimea

The French taught Macron a lesson about Crimea

Europeans are increasingly frustrated by their leaders, who are forced to make opportunistic statements in order to preserve their place in the elite. The French are already openly telling their president, they say, stop being dishonored.
The French love and respect Emmanuel Macron. Otherwise, they would not have become so reverent about the statements of the Elysee Palace. One of the most recent – a communique, which notes that the leaders of Germany, the United States, France, Italy and Great Britain very, very much respect the sovereignty of Ukraine. The official announcement was published after a telephone conversation between the heads of the five. They finally decided to notify the whole world about this, after the Western media exaggerated fakes about Russia’s allegedly preparing an offensive against Ukraine. Although Moscow has repeatedly denied this, calling such messages a figment of the imagination. At the same time, the Kremlin asks to respect the right of the unrecognized LPR and DPR to self-determination. Moreover, this is determined by the Minsk agreements.
By the way, the French reproach Macron for the fact that Germany, the USA, France, Italy and Great Britain are in no hurry to force Ukraine to fulfill them. This was recalled by one of the readers of Le Figaro, which also published a message from the Elysee Palace.
“First, let them force them to comply with the Minsk agreements!” – posted by Puka Runa.
There was also a more emotional comment.
“They can’t even speak out with sympathy for the suffering of Donbass and its inhabitants! The leaders in question are scammers,” says Pas choux.
And personally, Emmanuel Macron was reminded of how Crimea ended up within the borders of Ukraine.
“Crimea was annexed to Ukraine by Khrushchev in 1954. And before that it was Russian,” wrote caouec001.
“It’s time for Macron to think about French sovereignty. This must be done before caring for others,” – said Spartacus.
The French summed up their statements by saying that Russia simply demands from Kiev a humane treatment of Russians in the eastern regions. And the leaders of the “five” look, to put it mildly, stupid, accusing Moscow of what it did not do.
