PARIS (RIA Novosti): Two police officers were injured in the commune of Cherbourg in northwestern France as a result of an attack by a man dressed as a ninja and armed with a saber, France Bleu reports.
The incident happened on Thursday when two female police officers tried to detain a man suspected of stealing a car.
A man dressed in a ninja costume, with a saber in his hands, got out of the stolen car and went to the police officers, after which he inflicted injuries on them.
The third policeman, who was waiting for his colleagues in the car, opened fire on the attacker, he was seriously wounded.
The injured law enforcement officers were hospitalized.
