Former Deputy PM of Crimea Serov was detained in Kuban

SIMFEROPOL (RIA Nov-osti): Former Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea Vladi-mir Serov, who has been on the wanted list since April 2019, was detained in the Krasnodar Territory and will be brought to the peninsula in the near future, a source in the region’s law enforcement agencies told RIA Novosti.
Information about the initiation of a criminal case against Serov on the fact of a promise or an offer of m-ediation in bribery appe-ared in the local media in April 2019, later the head of Crimea, Sergei Aksy-onov, confirmed that the former deputy prime minister of the region was wanted. As Aksenov clarified, the criminal case could be related to the period when Serov served as head of the administration of Sudak.
“Serov, who was on the wanted list, was detained in the Krasnodar Territory,” a source told RIA Novosti. He clarified that Serov should be delivered to the peninsula in the near future. According to him, now the former official is being taken to Rostov-on-Don.
Serov served as Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea from July 2017 to March 2018. Prior to that, he headed the administration of Sudak.
