European firm will provide services to UAE nuclear plant

DUBAI: Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation subsidiary Nawah has signed an agreement with Europ-ean nuclear services prov-ider CERAP to provide te-chnical services to support refuelling outages and on-line operations at the Bara-kah nuclear power plant.
CERAP and its shareholder ENDEL are “determined to share their expertise and support the development of the UAE’s nuclear supply chain,” Enec said.
Risk prevention and radiation protection management specialist CERAP last year established an Abu Dhabi-based subsidiary, NÜSAM..
Nawah Energy Company has signed an agreement with CERAP S.A to provide technical services to support refueling outages and online operations at the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant, Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) said on Friday.
Nawah, ENEC’s joint-venture operating and maintenance subsidiary, signed the agreement on the sidelines of the French Nuclear Energy Day at the Dubai Expo event.
