Chief of the Defence Staff addresses members at the RFCA Annual Briefing

F.P. Report

LONDON: Admiral Sir Tony Radakin KCB ADC, Chief of the Defence Staff, opened the briefing by reinforcing just how important the RFCAs are in supporting the overall priorities of Defence.

The event included senior representatives from the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force, who gave further insight into the single Services priorities, as well as an opportunity for members to engage via a questions and answers session.

RFCA Board Chair, Major General Greg Smith said:

The RFCAs continue to support our communities far and wide, in so many different ways. Using our unique networks to make sure we are doing everything we can to support Defence, particularly in these rather exceptional times.

We have continued to enhance the MOD’s reputation as a trusted partner with employers, promoting the role Defence plays in a prosperous UK. And we are building new and modern facilities that enable our Cadets and Reservists to excel.

The newly appointed President of the RFCAs, General the Lord Houghton, finished by thanking the tireless work and commitment of the RFCAs and highlighting just how important their work within their communities are in supporting both the Reserves and Cadet movement.
