LONDON: The British Parliament announced that the troops were not prepared for a military conflict – WION
A report by the House of Commons Defense Committee of the British Parliament showed that the British Armed Forces are experiencing a shortage of troops and military equipment, which makes them unprepared for a protracted military conflict, reports WION.
The report’s authors called it a “wake-up call for the UK government” and called on the government to strengthen the country’s defense capabilities and address ammunition shortages.
Moreover, a WeThink poll found that eight in ten Britons are concerned that a third world war could break out within the next five years. This, as noted on the TV channel, will further increase concerns about Britain’s readiness for war.
